These Superfine Merino Wool Sleeves are stylishly designed to look great for day and bedwear. The short design means shoulders and arms are kept warm without the uncomfortable bunching of longer bed jackets and lessens the risk of pressure sores. The shape of the sleeve and stretch in the fabric means they are very easy to put on and take off, so reducing the risk of damage to delicate skin. They are made from 200gsm knitted fabric which gives lightweight warmth.
They are also ideal when the person in your care is spending more time in bed or no longer wants to get changed from nightwear. Pop a Dining Drapron® over the nightdress and sleeves and they look fully dressed.
New Zealand Superfine Merino wool is one of the finest natural fibres and has amazing properties. The fibres are less than half the thickness of human hair meaning it can be worn all day in complete comfort, as the fibres bend when in contact with skin rather than prickle.
Merino wool has temperature regulating properties, keeping you cool in the warmth and warm in the cool.
Odour molecules are absorbed into the Merino fibre, effectively becoming trapped and undetectable to the human nose and only being released on laundering. This means the garments can be worn day after day without becoming smelly!
