Using a photovoltaic panel built into the watch face, this solar watch takes power from the suns rays to charge the internal battery. When the sun shines onto a solar panel, energy from the sunlight is absorbed by the PV cells in the panel. This energy creates electrical charges that move in response to an internal electrical field in the cell, causing electricity to flow to the internal battery.
When the weather is not so great, the watch can be topped up using artificial light. Simply pop the watch under a household lamp or use the specially designed solar charger to bring your watch to full power.
Featuring a beautifully clear dial with high vision fonts approved by the RNIB, so you can easily see the time at a glance. The time and date is announced in a clear, British voice recorded by the RNIB.
A donation is made to the RNIB for each watch sold.
