This robust, ultra-lightweight, self propel wheelchair is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It comes with a host of features including an attractive aluminium frame with single cross brace for strength and stability. It also has a half-folding backrest, quick-release footrests and rear wheels that make it easy to fold for storage or transportation.
The grey two-tone upholstery with soft-touch fabric side panels is comfortable, supportive and easy to clean. The desk-style armrests allow easy access to work surfaces and the backrest has a handy rear pocket for storing small items. The footrests are height adjustable without tools to one of five positions for optimum user comfort and can be swung away to facilitate transfers.
The spoked 61cm (24”) rear wheels with lightweight aluminium rims and solid grey polyurethane (PU) tyres are hard-wearing, puncture proof, low maintenance and combine with the hand rims for superb manoeuvrability. The 20cm (8”) front wheels are also made from polyurethane. Rear stepper tubes help an attendant to mount kerbs safely and the long-reach brakes on the rear tyres are easily activated by user or attendant for stable parking. This wheelchair has also been crash tested to help ensure safety when being transported in a vehicle.
