This robust, lightweight, self propel wheelchair is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It comes with a host of features, including an attractive blue aluminium frame with a half-folding backrest, quick-release footrests and rear wheels that make it easy to fold for storage or transportation.
The footrests can be swung away to facilitate transfers on and off the chair, while the padded, desk-style armrests allow unhindered access to work surfaces and flip up for side transfers. Other standard features include a deluxe seat with a tension adjustable backrest and padded back cushions for added comfort. The chair is also fitted with reflectors to improve outdoor visibility at dusk or when it’s dark.
The 61cm (24”) solid polyurethane wheels are hard-wearing, puncture proof, low maintenance and aid manoeuvrability. The 20cm (8”) front wheels are also made from polyurethane. Rear stepper tubes allow an attendant to mount kerbs safely and the cable brakes on the rear handles are easily activated to reduce speed or lock for stable parking. This wheelchair has also been crash tested to help ensure safety when being transported in a vehicle.
