Living Aids UK, a facility of established online retailer Makerfield Limited, offers top quality daily living aids and mobility products at competitive prices for delivery direct to your home.
 
Are the products suitable for me?
The products in the range are suitable for adults of all ages with long-term conditions such as arthritis, dementia or reduced mobility.

Do I need to register and create an account?
Registering your contact details, delivery address and preferred payment method to create an account will make purchasing other products in the future quicker and easier for you.
 
Can I order without creating an account?
Yes,  you can order without an account but creating one will make purchasing other products in the future quicker and easier for you.
 
Can I change my account details?
Yes, all you need to do is click on Register in the top right hand corner of the home page, change your details, then click the green ‘Submit the information' box in the bottom right hand corner. 
 
Can I place my order by phone?
Yes, just call us on 01254 247475 from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. We are able to take payment by credit card over the phone.
 
Can I amend my order?
You can amend your order if it has not yet been despatched by calling us on 01254 247475 from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
 
Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel your order within seven working days after the order has been delivered and we will give you a full refund for the cost of the goods ordered within 30 days of them being returned providing they are in original packaging. For full details, please refer to our Returns policy at the bottom of the website.
 
Can I buy in bulk?
Yes, you can. Please call us on 01254 247475 from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm to discuss your requirements.
 
Can I order a product that is not on the website?
Yes you can. Tell us your requirement and we will see if we can source it for you.
 
How soon will my order arrive?
Stock items are despatched within 24 hours and delivery will usually take a maximum of 3 – 5 days.

What happens if I cannot take a delivery?
Access for delivery is your responsibility, but please let us know if you are not available to take delivery and we will make alternative arrangements. 
 
Can you deliver my order to a different address to my billing address?
Yes. Just enter the details when you register as a customer or create an account.
 
Will the items I order arrive together?
Sometimes the products are sent from different locations so they may not arrive at the same time. If a product is likely to be seriously delayed we will let you know. 
 
Can you deliver internationally?

When do I have to pay for my order?
Payment is taken in full at the time of order.
 
Will I have to pay VAT?
If you are chronically sick or disabled with a long term physical or mental condition that has an adverse effect on your ability to carry out everyday activities, you are able to purchase certain items at 0% rather than 20% VAT. For this reason prices are shown both with and without VAT. Please refer to the section on VAT exemption for full details.
 
Which payment options do you accept?
Makerfield Ltd accepts payments on-line via the following Credit and Debit Card payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch, Solo, Delta and Visa Electron. We also accept PayPal.
 
How much does delivery cost?
The standard charge is £5.95 inc VAT for delivery to most UK postcodes, regardless of how many items you purchase.
 
Can I pay for an order with a card that's not in my name?
Yes, as long as you have all the details and permission of the card holder.
 
Will I get a receipt?
Yes, you will receive acknowledgement of your order and a receipt as soon as your order has been processed.
 
How can I return a product?
To return or exchange a product you will need to send an email to question@livingaidsuk.co.uk, or call us directly on 01254 247475 (Monday - Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm) and request an authorisation code. See our section on Returns for full details.
 
What if I change my mind?
You have 7 days from the date on which you receive your item to request a return or exchange. If the goods have already been delivered and you have changed your mind, you may be responsible for the cost of returning them. 
 
What condition must the returned item be in?
The item must be in its original condition, i.e. the condition it was in on delivery.
 
Are there products which I cannot return?
Made to order or personalised products are non-returnable, unless they have arrived damaged, are faulty or not as described. Perishable or wearable items such as incontinence pads are not returnable either. 
 
How long does a refund take?
All refunds will be processed within 30 days after receipt of goods. 
 
How will the refund be made?
Any refunds given by us will be made to the debit/credit card account provided when you placed your order and will be subject to our right to withhold amounts for products which are damaged on return or for which we arrange collection
 
How do I request an exchange or refund for a faulty or damaged item?
To exchange or request a refund for a faulty or damaged product you will need to send an email to question@livingaidsuk.co.uk, or call us directly on 01254 247475 (Monday - Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm) and request an authorisation code. See our section on Returns for full details.
